One of the first steps in creating a website is getting the domain name. Once that’s done, you need to remember to renew it every year or set it up on auto-renewal (which is what we suggest to do if it’s available). Be very careful about your domain name registration. Don’t transfer it unless you know for sure who you are transferring it to.
This letter shows up in our mailbox a few times a year for the various domains that we service. It sounds pretty convincing and sometimes the letter is worded a bit different and looks like a legitimate bill. Do what we do–just throw this in the trash! (or the recycling bin). The prices listed here can be quite inflated compared to the cost of registering a domain elsewhere.
